Listen and follow along with a panel of nurses offering their experience using our premoistened, disposable bathing cloth. This call was hosted by a major manufacturer of skin care products and demonstrates the superb outcomes for both patient and staff.
- Approximately how many of EZbath Bathing Cloths would you need to bathe an average size patient? Is the size and thickness acceptable?
- If you have used similar bathing cloths, how does EZbath compare? Is EZbath better than the competition, worse than the competition, or pretty much the same?
- A few questions comparing bathing cloths to wash cloths and basin:
- On average, does EZbath take approximately the same amount of time, less time or more time?
- Does EZbath make a patient more comfortable than using a washcloth and basin?
- Do you feel EZbath cleanse the resident’s skin better than standard washcloth and basin?
- Do you think you would add another moisturizer layer after using EZbath?
- Does each cloth maintain enough moisture to wash the area being cleansed?
- Is the fragrance appropriate?
- Overall, if you were the day to day caregiver giving these baths, would you prefer EZbath or would you prefer washcloth with basin?
- You throw them away instead of rinsing out in the basin and contaminating the basin water
- It does clean better since you are using a new one for each area
- The quicker you can get it done, the more comfortable
- It is much quicker and not as wet
- I will tell you this, is far superior in the softness of the product, the smell is wonderful and it’s wet enough, you know you have enough moisture and it’s really nice
- These are larger and a little thicker
- Much less harsh on the residents’ skin……“blows it out of the water”
- Just throw them in the trash; I don’t need a dirty laundry bin right next to me, I don’t have to clean up all the supplies
- Basin is storage receptacle for a lot of things that shouldn’t be in there and I wonder if they are properly sanitized after providing the bed bath
- By pulling it, you can almost double it in length, so you actually can cover a bigger area; like if you wanted to lay it on the leg for moisturizing it a little, it will actually go pretty much from the knee down
- It is very handy because I actually make a mitt which you can do because of its large size
- I liked how long it stayed moist, it didn’t evaporate very quickly
- Typically with a disposable, you start out pretty good and then within a minute or two the whole thing is starting to get dry on your hand and that doesn’t happen with this one
- From a softness and moisturizing perspective this product is 100 times better than any face cloth or cream that we have used in the past
- When giving a soap and water bath, I don’t know always if the aides are using what they are supposed to for each bath. When using this product, I know that the resident is getting the best benefit they should from the bath.
- As safety officer, the basin requires dry clean up due to the fall hazard for not only the resident but the staff. So for me this is just great being able to dispose of them at the bedside
- I like the size; I very much like the size. How nice and big it was, how it draped over my hand just like a cloth. I liked everything about it. I think it is a very handy size.
- The disposable bathing cloth reduces the risk of spreading disease and contributes to better patient outcomes
- I will certainly endorse this product as both myself and my employees love this product
